Not much has changed in the past few days. Fishing is still excellent. you can read any of the past few reports and take the advice and you will have a great day on the River.
As the summer heats up and more and more anglers come to fish the Elk and surrounding waters I want to pass on a few things to think about when you are on the water.
Try handling the fish less- Keep the fish in the water and minimize holding time prior to release, this keeps the fish calm for a quick and stress free as well as minimizes the loss of its protective slime.
Not every fish needs it's picture taken!
Wash all your gear after fishing and especially before and after you visit other streams Including Waders, Boots and your BOAT!
Pack out your garbage so that no one else has to and if you find trash, pick it up.
Pinch your barbs, single barbless hooks, no droppers!
Yes , there are some keep sections, but isnt it best to put them back so that they can get bigger for the next time you come?
