Without a doubt participating in a fly fishing lesson is a great stepping stone to success and can eliminate months if not years of frusteration in trying to teach yourself or learn from someone who just shouldn't be teaching you. Getting taught the correct skills and techniques will enable most to become not only proficient and elegant casters but also shine new light on all the mysteries of fly fishing.

Through our personalized approach to learning the art of fly fishing, our courses are designed to give the new angler the basic knowledge, skills and fly fishing strategies to get started on the river.  

What to expect:

  • Introduction to Fly Fishing Equipment and Gear
  • Casting and Techniques
  • Knots and How to Tie 'em
  • Entomology of the Stream - Bugs and how they relate to trout
  • Reading Water and Fly Presentation
  • Rules, Regulations and River Etiquette

Full Day (6hrs) Learn to Fly Fish: $495 for 2 ppl / $295 for 1 person / $100 each additional person

(includes lunch, drinks, flies, rods) 

1/2 Day (4hrs) Learn to Fly Fish: $295 for 2ppl /  $195 for 1 person / $100 each additional person

(includes flies, rods, bring your own lunch) 

Fly Cating Essentials: 1 Hour $50 per person / 2 Hours $85 per person

Family Fly Fishing: (Family Groups consists of 2 adults and 2 children under age 14)

Full Day (6 hours) Walk and Wade - $595

(includes lunch, drinks, flies, rods)

1/2 Day (4 hours) - $395 (dry land no license required)

Fly Fishing is a sport that the entire family can enjoy and we have just the program to get kids started on the water.

This program is focused on educating and teaching kids the pleasures of fly fishing, so they will be able to take the skills they have learned and fish with confidence in their own back yard. With a fun atmosphere geared towards the enticing adventures of fly fishing, this is program is sure to get the kids excited about a life long passion in the art of fly fishing.

Throughout the Learn to Fly Fish Program Kids will learn the following:

  • Introduction to fly fishing – What’s it all about
  • Choice, Assembly and Care of Equipment
  • Casting – How to get your line out there
  • Knot Tying – 3 simple knots to get you on your way
  • Entomology of a Stream – Learn about Bugs!
  • Reading Water – Where fish live
  • Leave No Trace Fishing
  • Presentation of your fly
  • River Etiquette
  • How to be safe beside the river


    Full Day (6hrs) Learn to Fly Fish
    $295 2ppl / $195 1 person / $100 each additional person

    1/2 Day (4hrs) Learn to Fly Fish
    $195 2ppl / $125 1 person / $95 each additional person

    Private Groups Can be arranged
    All Lessons are subject to 5% Gst

            Program is designed for ages 8 – 15 years of age

At it's most mysterious level fly fishing incorporates not only the knowledge and beauty of catching and releasing trout but, also appreciating the education to be found around the fishing hole.

With a relaxed, fun and interactive atmosphere, The "Woman on the Fly" workshop is focused on educating and teaching the pleasures of fly fishing exclusively with woman, taught by woman anglers. Both Donna Cloutier and Beckie Clarke have years of experience in fly fishing and are excited to share their passions and knowledge with you!

By the end of the workshop you will be excited to incorporate fly fishing into not only your lifestyle but, into those around you.
