July 19, 2010 Evening Showers Bring Great hatches!

If you like fishing the famous Green Drake Hatches of the Elk River then you should get down here fast. This weeks forecast calls for warm weather with a chance of afternoon showers. This is perfect Green Drake weather and also great Drift Boat fishing weather. Casting big attractors as you float the Elk and then match the hatch on the inside bends and runs make for some amazing dry fly action.
Water Conditions:
The waters in the Fernie area are in Great shape. We haven't had the storms that Southern Alberta and Montana have seen lately so clarity is excellent! Flows are at about 60 cubic M which is perfect for all of our 7 floats we do.

Drakes, PMD's, Caddis, Stones
Flies to Use:
Drake Comparadun, Para drake, Wulff Drake, Olive Elk Hair Caddis, and of course The Noble Chernobyl !!!
