The Elk Is Fishable and Driftable!

The bank ice on the Elk has receded and has opened up the majority of the flowing water. This has created numerous safe spots for bank fishing and although we haven't seen any water craft on the river it should be navigable.

Dangerous Ice along the Elk River. Time to Go Bone Fishing!

The Elk has some dangerous ice banks that make it difficult to get good water access. We have decided that going to Crooked Island Bahamas would be a better choice to get our fly fishing fix in.

It's hard to believe that it's already the summer went by faster than I can recollect. What an amazing summer! Thank you so much to everyone that came in and supported the shop! We have a new wall of photos with memories to get us through the cold winter.

Fantastic Fishing Frenzy

This summer has presented itself with challenges in the weather, with higher than normal water levels for this time of year. Variable weather in the evenings, with cool temperatures in the morning, and clouds rolling over in the late afternoon unleashing some spurts of rain.
